Steffie Wallace is an Australian artist living in Melbourne who has been painting and exhibiting for 40 years. Her art education began at the National Gallery Art School in Melbourne, at 16, followed by Fine Art at university in the 1970s, studying painting and printmaking. Steffie exhibits in Melbourne, Sydney, New York and Italy, and has won awards both locally and overseas. Employing a limited colour palette to achieve her atmospheric artistic effects, Steffie portrays the landscape in transitory weather situations dominated by dramatic skies, with contrasting light providing the main visual focus.
